Use of Gone vs been in present perfect tense
We use “Gone and Been” in Present Perfect Tense.
- Been means a complete visit of the place where you went and returned.
- But gone means you have visited a place and you have not come yet it means you have gone.
Examples: Use of Gone vs been in present perfect tense
- He has never been to Italy.
- She has gone to the hospital.
- They have gone to hostels.
- Has your brother gone to Mumbai?
- Have you ever been to London?
- I have never been to London.
- I have gone there several times.
